What if I run out of credits?
Running out of credits is not a crisis. You have two options: purchase add-ons or upgrade your subscription.
**Option 1: Purchase add-on packs**. If you hit your monthly spending cap, you can purchase additional credits instantly. Add-on packs range from the $9.99 Credit Boost (250 credits) up to the $69.99 Credit Mega (6,000 credits). You buy them only when you need them, so there's no pressure to commit to a large upfront payment. You can purchase as many add-ons as you want in a given month. Your work-in-progress is always saved, so you don't lose anything while purchasing.
**Option 2: Upgrade your subscription**. If you find yourself regularly running out of credits, upgrading to the next tier might be more cost-effective. For example, if you're on Starter (500 credits for $19) and consistently running out, upgrading to Pro (1,500 credits for $49) costs only $30 more but gives you 3× the credits plus closed-loop optimization. Many users find that a permanent upgrade is better than repeatedly purchasing add-ons.
**Your work is always safe**. When you hit your spending cap, you can't generate new content, but everything you've already created remains in your Content Library. Your drafts are saved. Your published content is still live. Nothing is deleted. You just temporarily can't create new content until you buy add-ons or until your next billing period.
**Spending cap is safety**. Your spending cap is 2.5× your monthly allocation specifically to prevent surprise bills. Once you hit it, generation stops. You're never charged unexpectedly. You always have to make a conscious decision to purchase more credits.
**How users typically handle this**. Some users purchase add-ons occasionally when they have a big content push planned (product launch, campaign, etc.). Some users upgrade to a higher-tier plan because they consistently need more credits. Some users stick to their monthly allocation and batch their content creation strategically. There's no one right approach.
**Real-world scenario**. You're on Starter (500 credits) and halfway through the month you realize you're going to run out. You have three options: 1. Slow down content creation and spread your remaining credits across the month 2. Purchase a $24.99 Credit Bundle (1,700 extra credits) to cover your needs 3. Upgrade to Pro ($49/month, gives you 1,500 credits immediately plus closed-loop optimization)
Which option makes sense depends on whether you think you'll need more credits every month (upgrade) or just this month (add-on).
**Discounted add-ons for annual plans**. Users on annual plans often get discounted add-on pricing compared to monthly plans, so upgrading to annual saves money if you know you'll need add-ons.
